The turmoil has been on for 2 months in the state claiming more than 120 lives, leaving thousands homeless. Col Shanti Kumar Shepam, Ex-Serviceman from Assam Rifle is also the president of NCC Alumni, Imphal Unit. He broke down recalling how both Kukis and Meitis had together served the nation in his regiment but today stand divided in Manipur. He questioned as why hasn't PM Modi issued a statement over the situation in 2 months. People at the protest pledged unity for Manipur in the interest of a better future.
