“This time the tradition will change in Rajasthan”, says Congress President Kharge, party’s leadership meets to discuss potential candidates for the upcoming Assembly Elections
The names of potential candidates for the upcoming Rajasthan Assembly elections were discussed by the Congress' top leadership on Monday.
Among those present at the Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting for Rajasthan were Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, former Congress chiefs Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot, AICC in-charge of the state Sukhjinder Randhawa, chief of the state unit Govind Dotasra, party general secretary (organisation) K C Venugopal, and chief of the party's Rajasthan screening committee Gaurav Gogoi.
“This time the tradition will change in Rajasthan, relief for the public and happiness will prevail!...Health insurance, affordable cooking gas cylinders and development for farmers, Griha Lakshmi for women and uplift of youngsters! Rajasthan will re-elect the Congress and public welfare schemes will be respected,” said Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in a post on social media platform ‘X’.
The Congress released its third list of 19 candidates for the November 25 Rajasthan assembly elections on Thursday, bringing the total number of nominees announced by the party to 95.This list named 13 incumbent MLAs, including a Cabinet minister.
The election for the 200-member Rajasthan Assembly will take place on November 25, and the results will be declared on December 3rd.
