Teachers’ Resignations Over Unpaid Salaries Lead to Sudden FIITJEE Center Closures Leaving Students in Lurch Ahead of Exams

At least eight FIITJEE coaching centers across North India have abruptly closed their doors in the past week, leaving hundreds of students and their families in distress as they prepare for crucial board exams and entrance tests. The affected centers are spread across Noida, Ghaziabad, Bhopal, Varanasi, Delhi, Patna, and Meerut. Videos and images have surfaced showing parents protesting outside the now-closed FIITJEE branches.
The closures are reportedly linked to a mass resignation of teachers due to unpaid salaries. The latest closure occurred in Meerut, where the administration attempted to manage the situation by sending teachers from Noida, but this arrangement lasted only for a few days before the center was forced to shut down completely.
The crisis appears to stem from a combination of financial difficulties faced by FIITJEE and increasing regulatory issues, including action from local authorities regarding violations of fire safety and licensing norms. These issues have compounded the institute's troubles, especially after the recent conclusion of the January 2025 session of JEE Mains, a key exam for students aiming for engineering colleges, including IITs.
