"Stand United Against Terror...": Rahul Gandhi Calls for Unity Amidst Attacks on Kashmiris Post Pahalgam

Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha on Friday called for national unity during his visit to Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which claimed the lives of 26 people.
"It's sad to see that some people are attacking my brothers and sisters from Kashmir and the rest of the country and I think it's very important that all of us stand together, stand united and fight this nasty action that has been taken and defeat terrorism once and for all," said Gandhi, condemning reports of discrimination and hostility towards people from Kashmir.
The senior Congress leader stressed the importance of standing together in the face of terrorism, warning against attempts to divide the country along communal or regional lines. "The idea behind what has happened is to divide society, is to make brothers fight brothers, and it is very important that every single Indian stands united, stands together so that we can defeat what the terrorists were trying to do," said the Rae Bareli MP.
During his visit, Gandhi met with one of the individuals injured in the attack, offering his sympathies and expressing his heartfelt support. "My love and affection to everybody who has lost family members, and I want everybody to know that the whole nation is standing together as one," he added.
He also met with the Chief Minister and the Lieutenant Governor (LG), who briefed him on the situation. Gandhi assured both that his party would extend its full support in dealing with the crisis.
"We had a meeting yesterday with the government and the united opposition condemned this action and said that we are there to support whatever action the government wants to take," said Gandhi.
