Sanjay Raut Alleges BJP-RSS Links to ₹122 Crore New India Bank Scam

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has alleged that BJP leaders and RSS-linked individuals were involved in the ₹122 crore scam in New India Co-operative Bank, which has left countless depositors in distress. The Mumbai Police have already arrested builder Dharmesh Jayantilal Paun (58) and the bank’s general manager, Hitesh Mehta, as part of the investigation. However, Raut accused BJP leaders of playing a key role in the scam and questioned their silence on the matter.

Raut claimed that the bank was systematically looted by BJP-linked individuals, stating, "This bank holds public money, but it was exploited by builders, politicians, and BJP’s Kadam. Where are the leaders from Mulund now? Why aren't they speaking up? The bank was looted of hundreds of crores, and BJP leaders are staying quiet because their own people were involved."

He further pointed out that the bank was founded by veteran leader George Fernandes and questioned why BJP leader Kirit Somaiya, who frequently targets opposition figures over corruption, was not pursuing this case.

"Why isn’t Somaiya going to the ED now? Why no press conferences? BJP MLAs pressured the bank to sanction loans. Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis must answer—who are the real culprits? Those who received the money are builders linked to BJP and RSS. There’s a different law for opposition leaders and another for ruling party members. What kind of Uniform Civil Code is this?" Raut asked.

He also criticized the BJP over reports of Sikh detentions in Amritsar, where he alleged that American authorities had removed the turbans of Sikh individuals and shackled them.

"Yesterday, an American military aircraft landed in Amritsar once again. India has become the second country, after Afghanistan, where the US military is landing planes. Sikh turbans were forcibly removed—why is the BJP silent? Narendra Modi claims he can stop the Ukraine-Russia war but can't stop Americans from mistreating Indians? He went to the US with a 56-inch chest, but they pricked it and sent him back. This is the third US military plane to land—what has Modi done about it?" Raut questioned.

In a further attack on the government, Raut alleged that Hindus were being mistreated in the name of religious events like Kumbh Mela. "Be it the Delhi railway platform or Prayagraj, Hindus are being trampled under the name of Kumbh. Where is the government?" he asked.​
