In the aftermath of the plane crash that claimed the life of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, NCP leader Rohit Pawar has publicly expressed serious concerns, questioning key aspects of the investigation and the handling of the aircraft’s black box.
Ajit Pawar died when the aircraft he was travelling in crashed while en route from Mumbai to Baramati. The accident also resulted in the deaths of four others on board, sending shockwaves across the state. Videos of the crash that later surfaced appeared to show the aircraft losing balance mid-air before hitting the ground, followed by multiple explosions.
Speaking reporters, Rohit Pawar said the focus should remain firmly on the probe rather than political matters. “For us, merger discussions and politics are secondary.
What matters most is a thorough investigation into Dada’s death,” he stated.
Rohit Pawar also questioned how the aircraft’s black box was reportedly damaged. “The critical issue now is understanding how the black box was burnt and why it was sent outside India. These are important questions that need answers,” he said.
He added that despite speculation about possible political developments, the party’s priority remains the crash investigation. “We can hold meetings, discussions, or press briefings on other issues, and we have evidence. But right now, the most important subject is the accident and its inquiry,” said Pawar.
The tragedy has led to widespread speculation and demands for transparency. It also emerged that a private detective agency may be conducting an independent examination of the circumstances surrounding the crash.
