Manipur: NTT Reports From Pallel Where The Cry Is "All My Bags Are Packed But Where To Go"

After a lull of two weeks fresh violence had erupted in Manipur this week. Two people have lost their lives on Friday as violence reached Pallel, a town next to Assam Rifles Sector Head Quater in Tengnoupal district where coexistence between different communities continued for the past four months, even after May 3 incident of violence. But as fresh flare up gripped Pallel, the otherwise quiet town had slipped into disquiet. NTT Tamal Saha and Rony Santra reached Pallel, only to find as how people had started leaving the town out of fear. People, not belonging to either of the warring communities are also the victims of the same violence. They packed their belongings, life's savings and every possible stock to leave and embark on a new journey that is equally uncertain. No one knew when or if they will make it back home, to their land, ever.
