Maharashtra Assembly Elections: Aditya Thackeray Discloses his Assets and Legal Case in Affidavit Submitted along with Nomination Papers
Shiv Sena leader and incumbent MLA Aditya Thackeray has submitted an affidavit detailing his assets and a pending legal case as part of his nomination for the Maharashtra State Legislative Assembly Election from the 182-Worli Assembly Constituency.
The affidavit reveals that Thackeray is currently facing a legal case in connection with the reopening of Delisle Road, although no chargesheet has been filed.
Following are the details of Aditya Thackeray's assets as disclosed in his affidavit:
Financial Overview:
Cash in Hand: Rs 37,344 (as of October 22, 2024).
Bank Deposits: Rs 2.81 crore across Fixed Deposits, Term Deposits, and savings accounts.
Investments in Securities: Rs 10.14 crore in bonds, debentures, shares, mutual funds, and other instruments.
Other Financial Instruments: Rs 21.55 lakh invested in NSS, postal savings, insurance policies, and other financial instruments.
Thackeray’s affidavit also details movable assets, including a BMW car and jewelry valued at Rs 1.91 crore. His total movable assets amount to Rs 15.43 crore.
Real Estate Holdings:
Land in Raigad: Valued at Rs 1.48 crore.
Commercial Properties:
Located in Thakurli and Ghodbunder, valued at Rs 4.56 crore.
The affidavit lists Thackeray's total immovable assets at Rs 6.04 crore. He also declared a liability of Rs 43.76 lakh.
Elections for Maharashtra’s 288 Assembly seats are scheduled for November 20, with results set to be announced on November 23.
