The principal of a school in Uttar Pradesh’s Gaziabad has been arrested by the police for allegedly sexually harassing girl students, on Tuesday. Identified as Dr Rajeev Pandey, the principal has been accused of calling girl students between ages 12-15 to his office and touching them inappropriately. Police say that the girl students have written a letter with their blood to UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, asking him to take stringent action against the school’s principal.

The girls who were allegedly sexually abused by their principal were extremely scared to talk about their predicament, but, eventually owned up to their parents. The parents then went and confronted Dr Rajeev Pandey, who rubbished all their claims. The principal allegedly denied all claims and verbally abused the girl students and their parents. One thing led to another and during a heated exchange of words, the parents round up the principal and beat him up, injuring his physically.
UP police have said that Dr Rajeev Pandey too filed a counter complaint against the parents, who he alleges illegally trespassed onto the school property and physically assaulted him. The police have lodged both complaints and are investigating both cases.

However, the girl students and the parents claim that they were detained for several hours and allegedly threatened by the police. This in turn, prompted the girl students to pen a letter in blood to the UP CM seeking justice for the wrongdoings that were inflicted upon them. "We were forced to sit at the police station for four hours”, “School authorities have ordered us to not attend classes anymore", states the letter penned down with blood.

"All of us who have been harassed by him want to discuss this issue with you in person. We request you to grant us and our parents’ permission to meet you and demand justice. We are all your daughters”, reads the letter addressed to Yogi Adityanath. Moreover, the students have alleged that no prompt action was taken against the principal because he is a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). However, the principally too was arrested following the face-off between him and the parents of the girl students.

“A detailed investigation into the case has been initiated”, said Saloni Agarwal, Senior Police Officer, Gaziabad.
