Congress in Rajasthan is ‘Kursi Bachao Sarkar’, says Prime Minister Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit out at the Congress while holding a public meeting at Chittorgarh on Monday, calling the ruling government a 'kursi bachao sarkar.' At the poll campaign of the poll-bound state questioning the credibility of the Gehlot government PM Modi asked if Congress has accomplished anything in the interest of the people of Rajasthan. The Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of multiple development projects worth 7,000 crore in Chittorgarh.
“Congress somehow managed to form a government by deception but couldn't run it, CM Gehlot is just trying to save his chair, and half of his party is busy in toppling his chair”, said the PM alleging that the Congress governance of the state is fraught by internal feuds; the leadership is only united in ‘looting the people of Rajasthan.’ Narendra Modi also said that the present Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is aware that he will leave and so he keeps requesting the BJP government to not halt his schemes. “We do not stop any welfare schemes. In fact, we are dedicated to serving the people of Rajasthan. We will continue all schemes and investigate each and every person involved in the corruption and looting of the ordinary people of Rajasthan. This is Modi’s guarantee”, added the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister accused the Congress of “looting” the people of Rajasthan, and “destroying” the ethos of the state. “The Congress has destroyed the state in the last 5 years. I am pained by the condition of the people of Rajasthan. BJP is dedicated towards restoring normalcy in the state, we will stop all forms of corruption, rioting, hooliganism, ensure women’s safety and employment for all when we come to power”, said Narendra Modi taking a dig at Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi targeted the alleged paper leak mafia in the state and said, “When the BJP comes back to power, it will give the harshest punishment against the paper leak mafia in the state, everyone will be thoroughly investigated, and that is Modi’s guarantee. The Prime Minister further assured the youth of Rajasthan stating that the BJP would go to the bottom of the matter pertaining to the alleged paper leak and stringent action would be taken against the people who are involved in corruption and money laundering.
“Maximum number of cases pertaining to crimes committed against women comes from Rajasthan; such is the detrimental condition of my mothers and daughters in this state. Is this why you voted for Congress?” stressing women’s safety, PM Modi lashed out at the Congress Govt. alleging deteriorating law and order in the state. Speaking on the Women’s Reservation Bill that has become a law waiting to be implemented, the Prime Minister said, “We have reserved 33% of the seats for the mothers and the daughters of the country. Congress and the Ghamandiya alliance did not want the bill to pass, they were forced to comply, they do not believe in the empowerment of women.”
PM Modi launched various developmental projects worth 7,000 crore in Rajasthan earlier today. He emphasized that the state's development was his government's top priority. The projects inaugurated by the Prime Minister included tourism facilities developed at Nathdwara, Rajsamand under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme, a modern 'tourist interpretation and cultural center' at Nathdwara, and a permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Information Technology in Kota.
