Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday released the BJP election manifesto for Maharastra Assembly Elections, hailing it as a “reflection of the aspirations of the people of Maharashtra”. In an event in Mumbai, also attended by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and state BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Shah highlighted the manifesto’s vision focussing on youth, farmers and women. The manifesto promises to create 25 lakh jobs for the youth in the next five years and on the other hand has vowed to hike the financial assistance for women under the much touted ‘Ladki Bahin Yojna’ scheme from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,100 along with providing loan waiver for farmers

“The manifesto reflects the genuine needs and aspirations of the people of Maharashtra. This state is a leader. Even Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj began his journey here. This manifesto embodies the spirit of Maharashtra,” Amit Shah said while stressing on their fight against the Congress, NCP Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT).
