"New Normal...": PM Modi Lauds the Armed Forces for 'Operation Sindoor'; Vows to Crush Terror at its Roots

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday described Operation Sindoor as a watershed moment in India’s counter-terrorism strategy, declaring it a new standard for how the country will respond to future threats. The address came after Indian forces launched a successful cross-border operation targeting terror infrastructure in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives.
Kicking off his speech with the emphatic chant of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai", the Prime Minister asserted the power of this slogan had been witnessed by the entire world. “This is the voice of every Indian,” he said. “When our drone missiles hit their mark, and when nuclear blackmail is silenced, the only sound that echoes from the skies to the ground is ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.”
Saluting the Army, Navy, and Air Force, the Prime Minister praised the precision and bravery shown by the armed forces, stating, “Thanks to your valour, the roar of Operation Sindoor is being heard far and wide.”
Highlighting the technological edge of the mission, Modi said the operation achieved pinpoint strikes within just 25 minutes using modern drones and missile systems. He also noted Pakistan’s attempt to shield terror camps using civilian aircraft, calling it a "conspiracy" that Indian forces neutralised without collateral damage. “You fulfilled your mission with discipline and distinction,” he added.
“Not just Pakistan’s air bases, but their malicious intentions have also been destroyed,” Modi said, further claiming that multiple Pakistani drone attacks were thwarted by India’s air defence systems. “If another terror attack occurs, India’s response will be swift and conclusive. Operation Sindoor is now the new normal.”
Emphasising the symbolic strength behind the operation’s name, Modi remarked, “This land is both Buddha and Guru Gobind Singh’s. When the sindoor of our daughters was snatched away, we crushed the terrorists in their own homes.”
The Prime Minister confirmed that nine key terrorists and over 100 operatives were eliminated during the operation, delivering a clear message: “Those who challenge India now know the only outcome is total destruction.”
In a pointed warning to Pakistan’s military, which he allegedly supports terror outfits, Modi said: “We have made it clear—there is no place in Pakistan where terrorists can breathe in peace. We will enter their homes, strike, and give them no chance to escape.”
Ending his speech with a tribute to India’s martial legacy, PM Modi invoked the legend of Maharana Pratap’s horse Chetak, calling it a symbol of undaunted courage and relentless pursuit of justice.
