Zeeshan Siddique Receives Threat Email Months after Baba Siddique’s Murder

Former MLA Zeeshan Baba Siddique has received a threat email, prompting the Bandra Police to initiate the process of registering a First Information Report (FIR). Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Marathe of Bandra police station visited Siddique’s residence on Sunday to record his statement. The Mumbai Police’s cyber and crime units are now collaborating to trace the origin of the threat mail and assess any links to the ongoing probe into the Bishnoi gang’s activities in the city.
According to police sources, efforts are underway to trace the IP address of the sender and retrieve the full content of the threatening email. Investigators are also working to determine whether any known gang members have been named in the email.
This development comes months after Zeeshan’s father, veteran politician Baba Siddique, was shot dead on October 12 near Zeeshan’s office in the Santacruz East area. Members of the notorious Bishnoi gang were arrested in connection with the murder. During the investigation into the killing, police had uncovered that Zeeshan Siddique was also allegedly on the gang’s target list.
