New Death Threat to Yogi Adityanath: Message Warns of a Potential Israel-Hamas Like Situation in India
The Mumbai Traffic Police helpline om Sunday received a troubling message from an unknown number. The message warned that if Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were to be assassinated, similar to the murder of former legislator Baba Siddique, it could trigger a violent situation reminiscent of the Israel-Hamas conflict. Authorities quickly alerted the Worli Police, who are now conducting an investigation into the threat.
Police sources suggest that this message may be linked to a threat directed at Yogi Adityanath on Saturday. Investigators are currently working to trace the origin of the message.
In a related development, Worli Police interrogated the accused woman, Fatima Khan, for several hours on Monday concerning the threat against Adityanath. Senior police officials indicated that her questioning lasted approximately 4-5 hours. During the interrogation, Khan claimed that she did not send the threatening message and asserted that someone else used her mobile phone to do so.
The Worli Police are now focused on verifying her statement and are examining the Call Detail Records (CDR) of her mobile to identify whom she was in contact with at the time the threat was sent. Additionally, police are reviewing her medical report to investigate claims of potential mental instability. Throughout the questioning, Khan has consistently maintained her innocence, stating that the message was sent by another person. She has been summoned for further questioning.
