Mumbai Police Tighten Security at Salman Khan’s Residence Following Intrusion Attempts

Following two incidents of unauthorised entry at Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence in Galaxy Apartments, Bandra, the Mumbai Police has decided to bolster security protocols around the premises. The measures come in the wake of attempted intrusions on 20 and 21 May, which raised concerns about the current security arrangements.
According to senior police officials, authorities are planning to implement a new identity verification system to curb unauthorised access. Under the proposed system, any unknown individual seeking entry will be required to confirm their identity through a resident before being granted access to the building.
“The identity verification system will help restrict unauthorised access and strengthen the overall security for Salman Khan,” a senior police official stated. “Such protocols are already common in many housing societies, where unknown visitors are allowed entry only after resident confirmation via intercom.”
The police confirmed that model and actress Esha Chhabra was arrested for unlawfully entering Galaxy Apartments in the early hours of 21 May. Chhabra, who has previously acted in Kannada films and worked in television commercials, arrived at the building around 3:30 a.m. and reportedly told the guard she needed to go to the fourth floor.
She then took the lift to the third floor, descended to the first, and rang the doorbell of Salman Khan’s residence. When there was no response, she was questioned by a security guard. Chhabra allegedly claimed that Khan had invited her before quickly leaving the building.
During police questioning, Chhabra admitted to being a fan of the actor and said she had attempted to meet him personally. Officers noted that she has been residing in Bandra for the past six months and has lived in Mumbai since 2016.
“No suspicious elements have been found so far, but the investigation is ongoing,” police sources confirmed. Chhabra was produced before the Bandra Magistrate’s Court on Friday and has since been remanded to judicial custody.
