Mumbai Police Struggles to Reach Ranveer Allahbadia as Phone is Off, and House is Locked After Controversy

The YouTube show India’s Got Latent has landed in controversy after its judges, including Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina, were accused of using vulgar language. The issue gained traction after a complaint was filed, prompting a police investigation.
In the latest development, Mumbai Police has been trying to contact Allahbadia, but his phone has remained switched off since the complaint was lodged. Sources confirmed that neither he nor his legal team has reached out to the authorities so far.
The local police also visited Allahbadia's Versova apartment, but it was locked.
Meanwhile, Khar Police has recorded the statements of four individuals in connection with the case, including Ashish Chanchlani, Apoorva Mukhija, and two others.
However, Allahbadia issued a public apology via a video on X after the controversy.
Yesterday Maharashtra Cyber Police registered an FIR and issued summons to several public figures, including Siddhant Chaturvedi, Urfi Javed, Rakhi Sawant, Deepak Kalal, Dilin Nair (Raftaar), and Tanmay Bhat and Siddharth Tewatia. All of them have been asked to appear today to record their statements.
In another related development, comedian Samay Raina’s lawyer, Gunjan Mangla, appeared before Maharashtra Cyber Cell, informing them that Raina is currently abroad and will return on March 17. His legal team has requested additional time for him to appear before the investigating officer. As evidence, his lawyer submitted Raina’s travel tickets and show schedule to the authorities.
With the case unfolding rapidly, authorities are expected to intensify their investigation in the coming days.
