Mumbai Crime Branch arrests 15th Accused, the Key Middleman in Baba Siddiqui Murder Case
The Mumbai Crime Branch has made a significant breakthrough in the investigation of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui's murder by apprehending Sujit Sushil Singh (32) from Ludhiana. This marks the 15th arrest in the ongoing case. Crime Branch officials have identified Sujit as a crucial link between the alleged mastermind Zeeshan Akhtar and the Nitin Sapre gang, which is believed to have supplied weapons for the murder. Sujit is currently being transported to Mumbai for further questioning.
Sources within the Crime Branch have stated that Sujit fled Mumbai for his in-laws' residence in Ludhiana about a month before the murder. Originally hailing from Lucknow, he had been living in the Chedda Nagar area of Ghatkopar, Mumbai, for several years. Sources further reveal that he had direct contact with Zeeshan Akhtar and played a role in connecting him with Nitin Sapre and Ram Kannaujia, who reportedly supplied the weapons. Sujit, familiar with both Sapre and Kannaujia, reportedly facilitated their connection with Zeeshan and helped arrange funds for them.
Investigators anticipate that Sujit’s arrest could uncover further details about the involvement of the Bishnoi gang in the murder.
