Mahayuti Rift Deepens: Guardian Minister Dispute Over Nashik & Raigad Remains Unresolved

The dispute over the guardian minister posts in Mahayuti remains unresolved, with no final decision on the appointments for Nashik and Raigad districts. Despite multiple discussions, including meetings between Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, the deadlock persists.

In Raigad, Shiv Sena MLAs have been seeking a meeting with Deputy CM Ajit Pawar but have not yet received an appointment. This delay has further intensified the uncertainty surrounding the guardian minister post. Mahayuti leaders had earlier speculated that a decision would be reached after the Chief Minister’s recent visit to Delhi, but no resolution has emerged.

Meanwhile, the Nashik guardian minister post has also been a contentious issue. The appointment was initially given to BJP leader Girish Mahajan, sparking opposition within Mahayuti. Following the controversy, the decision was put on hold. Shiv Sena's deputy district chief Ajay Boraste recently claimed that Nashik would soon receive "good news," hinting that the responsibility might be handed over to Shiv Sena leader Dada Bhuse.
