Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde Receives Bomb Threat Emails at Multiple Mumbai Police Stations

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has received a death threat, with an email warning that his car would be blown up with a bomb. The threat emails were received at the multiple police stations of Mumbai, prompting an immediate investigation.
Police have launched a search for the sender of the email. Reports indicate that similar threat emails have been sent to multiple police stations and other departments in Mumbai, all stating that Shinde's vehicle would be targeted with a bomb.
The Mumbai Police are actively investigating the matter, and the threat email has also been received at Mantralaya Police Station and JJ Marg Police Station.
Mumbai Police Zone 1 DCP Dr. Pravin Mundhe said, “Today a mail threatening to bomb the car of Hon DCM Shri Eknath Shinde has been received in Goregaon ps and JJ marg police station, Further enquiry and needful is being done.”
Authorities are in the process of registering an FIR against an unidentified person. All investigative agencies have been put on high alert, and the Mumbai Crime Branch has taken charge of the investigation.
Over the past few days, there has been a surge in anonymous threats. A case has been registered against an unknown person, and a search operation is underway.
This is not the first time Eknath Shinde has faced such threats. Previously, he had received threats from Naxalites as well. Mumbai Police are conducting a thorough investigation to identify the sender and ensure security measures are in place.
