Amid investigations into the alleged Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) Doctor Module, the Al-Falah University in Faridabad has issued an official statement expressing shock over the developments and distancing itself from any alleged terror links of the two detained doctors associated with the institution.
In a statement signed by Prof. (Dr.) Bhupinder Kaur Anand, Vice-Chancellor of Al-Falah University, the institution said it was “deeply saddened and anguished” by the recent events and “categorically condemned” the incident that has shaken the country, “We have learnt that two of our doctors have been detained by the investigating agencies. The University has no connection with the said persons apart from them working in their official capacities with the institution,” the Vice-Chancellor said.
Al-Falah University, located in Village Dhauj, Faridabad, has been functioning as a UGC-recognized institution since 2014 and has been running its medical college since 2019. The university also started postgraduate medical courses in 2023.
The statement emphasized that Al-Falah University’s laboratories are strictly used for academic purposes and adhere to all statutory safety and ethical norms.“No such chemical or material, as is being alleged by certain platforms, is being used, stored, or handled within the University premises. Every laboratory activity is carried out in accordance with safety protocols and regulatory standards,” the statement read.
The university also condemned what it called “baseless and misleading” reports circulating on social media and certain online portals, alleging that the institution was connected to the terror module.
“We strongly condemn and categorically deny all such false and defamatory allegations. We urge all organizations and individuals to act responsibly and verify facts through official channels before sharing such information,” the Vice-Chancellor added.
The university reiterated its full cooperation with investigating agencies and reaffirmed its commitment to national security, “As a responsible institution, we stand in solidarity with the nation and reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the unity, peace, and security of our country,” the statement concluded.
The Faridabad-based university also appealed for calm on campus, stating that its students remain focused on their education and that efforts are being made to maintain normalcy and academic discipline.
