Gujarat By-Poll Election Results 2025: BJP and AAP Secure One Seat Each

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) each secured one seat in the Gujarat by-poll elections held on June 19, 2025, for the Kadi and Visavadar assembly constituencies, the Election Commission of India announced on Monday. The by-elections were necessitated due to the death of BJP MLA Karsanbhai Solanki in Kadi and the resignation of AAP MLA Bhupendra Bhayani, who joined the BJP, in Visavadar.

In Kadi, BJP’s Rajendra Chavda triumphed with 99,742 votes, defeating Congress’ Ramesh Chavda by a margin of 39,452 votes. AAP’s Jagdish Chavda finished third. The constituency, with a significant Dalit population, recorded a 57.90% voter turnout. The BJP’s strong performance reinforces its dominance in the region.
