Bomb Threat Call Triggers Security Alert at Mumbai Domestic Airport (T1)

The CISF control room at Mumbai’s Domestic Airport (T1) received a bomb threat call on Wednesday afternoon, triggering immediate security measures. The caller, who remained unidentified, claimed that a man named Mohammad was traveling from Mumbai to Azerbaijan with explosives.

The call, which came in around 3 PM, provided no further details regarding the flight or the individual involved, before abruptly ending. In response, the CISF immediately informed the Sahar Police Station, prompting a swift deployment of officers to the airport for a thorough investigation.

Authorities are currently working to trace the origin of the call and are verifying passenger information to ensure public safety. As a precautionary measure, security has been heightened at the airport, with additional checks and surveillance put in place.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are continuing efforts to identify the caller and assess any potential threats. Passengers are being urged to remain calm and follow all security protocols during this heightened alert.​
