“BEWARE! New Vampire in the town!” says Bengal Minister Bratya Basu
In a series of confrontations between the West Bengal State Government and Governor C. V. Ananda Bose, State Education Minister Bratya Basu in his latest post on X, called the Governor without naming him, a ‘vampire’ on Saturday. This comes after the governor threatened to take “midnight action”, in context of the confrontations between the Governor and the State Government regarding the appointment of interim Vice-Chancellors for the state universities.
Taking to X, Basu wrote, “BEWARE! New vampire in town! Citizens please watch yourselves. Eagerly waiting for the "Rakkhas Prahar", according to Indian Mythology!” This came in minutes after the governor, who is also the Chancellor of State Universities, told reporters to wait for the stroke of midnight; “You’ll see what action is,” said the Governor.
"See till midnight, see the action"

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!
New Vampire in the town! Citizens please watch yourselves. Eagerly waiting for the "Rakkhas Prahar", according to Indian Mythology! 😱 😳
Just a day ago, Basu had accused the Governor of trying to “destroy” the higher education systems in the state and running a “puppet regime.” Before that, in a press conference on Monday, Basu had called Ananda Bose ‘James Bond’ and drew inferences to the character of ‘Gopal Bhar’ (popular jester of Bengali folklore). He further called out the Governor on his ‘Talibani’ mindset.
