Bengal: BJP Leader Dilip Ghosh’s Stepson Found Dead in Kolkata Flat

BJP leader Dilip Ghosh’s stepson was found dead under unexplained circumstances in a residential apartment in the New Town area of Kolkata on Tuesday, police have confirmed.

The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Srinjay Majumdar, the son of Ghosh’s wife, Rinku Majumdar, from her previous marriage. He was reportedly working at an IT firm based in Salt Lake. He was declared “brought dead” after being rushed to a nearby private hospital.

Authorities have stated that the cause of death remains unknown and will only be confirmed after a post-mortem examination. "The cause of the death is not known. That will be ascertained only after the post-mortem examination. We are investigating the matter," a senior police official said. As of now, no formal complaint has been lodged by the family, and investigations are ongoing.

Rinku Majumdar, a leader within the BJP’s women’s wing, married Dilip Ghosh in a private Vedic ceremony in April this year. According to reports, the couple met during morning walks, and their relationship developed gradually.
