Baba Siddique Murder Case: Arrested Shooter Confesses Plot Orchestrated by Anmol Bishnoi
In a major breakthrough in the murder case of NCP leader Baba Siddique, the arrested shooter, Shiv Kumar Gautam, has made a startling revelation during police interrogation. Gautam confessed that the assassination was orchestrated by Anmol Bishnoi, a key figure linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who allegedly ordered the hit.
According to Gautam’s statement, his first contact with Bishnoi occurred in June, when he communicated through the phone of Shubham Lonkar. From then on, Gautam maintained direct communication with Bishnoi via encrypted apps like Signal and Snapchat. The two discussed the detailed plot to assassinate Siddique over multiple conversations in Pune.
Gautam explained that Anmol Bishnoi meticulously gathered information about Siddique’s movements and schedule, leaving nothing to chance in the execution of the plan. Once the details were confirmed, Bishnoi, along with Lonkar, arranged for the weapons used in the murder. Gautam stated that after the killing, he had no further contact with Anmol Bishnoi.
The shooter also revealed the motive behind his involvement in the plot. According to Gautam, Bishnoi lured him into the scheme by offering three key incentives: the promise of fame, membership in the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, and a substantial monetary reward. Just before carrying out the assassination, Anmol Bishnoi allegedly convinced Gautam that the murder was a righteous act, carried out for "God and society," urging him not to hesitate.
Although Gautam admitted that he was only instructed to kill Siddique without being informed of the exact motive, sources within the investigation suggest that the murder could be linked to Siddique's close ties with Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his alleged connections with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. Investigators are exploring these potential links as they probe the reasons behind the targeted killing.
In a peculiar discovery during the investigation, the Mumbai Crime Branch found that Gautam had hidden an extra shirt inside his pants before the murder. After killing Siddique, Gautam quickly changed into the new shirt a short distance from the crime scene. Despite the shirt being disheveled, it was initially overlooked by police due to the commotion and crowd around the area.
Further investigation revealed that, on Anmol Bishnoi’s orders, Shubham Lonkar provided Gautam with a new mobile phone in Pune, which he used to coordinate the murder. After the assassination, Gautam discarded the phone in Pune, and when he arrived in Lucknow, he was given another new phone—an apparent attempt to evade police tracking.
The Crime Branch is now intensifying its investigation into the case, focusing on potential links to criminal syndicates and trying to uncover the underlying motives behind Siddique’s murder. Authorities are also exploring whether the killing is part of a larger scheme involving organized crime and political rivalries.
