“₹25 crore each offered to 7 AAP MLAs…” Arvind Kejriwal’s Big Charge Against BJP

In a startling claim, Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday has alleged that BJP has tried poaching their MLAs, offered ₹25 crore each to at least 7 of their MLAs to join BJP. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal termed it BJP’s “Operation Lotus 2.0” to topple his government ahead of Lok Sabha election 2024.

“BJP told the MLAs that they will arrest Kejriwal after a few days. After that they will break the MLAs. Talks have been held with 21 MLAs, claimed BJP….But we know they have spoken to 7 of our MLAs and offered ₹25 crore each to AAP and then after government is toppled, they can contest elections on BJP ticket. They have refused” wrote Kejriwal on ‘X’.

In a long social media post, Kejriwal stressed if the probe into alleged liquor scam for which he has been summoned by Enforcement Directorate multiple times, is any an actual investigation and if the talks of his feared arrest was actually part of the conspiracy to topple the government. "This means that I am not being arrested to investigate any liquor scam but they are conspiring to topple the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi. In the past nine years, they hatched many conspiracies to topple our government. But they did not get any success. God and the people always supported us. All our MLAs are also strongly together” Kejriwal wrote, calling BJP’s intentions as ‘nefarious’

BJP, however, has dismissed the allegations and challenged AAP to name the MLAs who were allegedly contacted by BJP. “Arvind Kejriwal is again lying as he has done in the past. Previously too, he never disclosed which phone number was used to contact them, who contacted them, and where was the meeting held. he just gives out statements and goes into hiding... His partners are in jail, and he is repeatedly avoiding ED summons because he knows he can not face the agency”, said BJP leader Kapil Mishra said.

AAP has slammed the alleged attempt of BJP to buy MLAs and reminded as how Shiv Sena (UBT) Uddhav Thackeray’s government was ‘toppled’ in Maharastra in 2022. “This is what BJP has been doing everywhere. Wherever they can’t win, they topple elected governments. They did the same with Uddhav Thackeray and now they are after Delhi government. People of Delhi are with Kejriwal for the good work our government has done. BJP will be defeated in their attempts”, said Atishi Marlena, AAP minister in a press conference on Saturday
