Politics Meets AI: Balasaheb’s Voice Revived to Launch Sharp Attack on BJP in Uddhav’s Nashik Rally

Shiv Sena (UBT) chief and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray held a high-voltage rally in Nashik on Wednesday, marked by the use of artificial intelligence to recreate the voice of party founder Balasaheb Thackeray. The AI-generated speech electrified thousands of Shiv Sainiks in attendance and launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The speech, which began with the line “All my Hindu brothers, sisters, and mothers are gathered here,” triggered a wave of enthusiasm among the crowd. Delivered in Balasaheb’s voice, the AI address struck an emotional chord and touched upon the party’s ideological roots, while also making sharp political observations.

In the speech, the recreated voice criticised the BJP’s understanding of Shiv Sena’s bond with Nashik. “When you say ‘Oh Nashik’, the crowd will cheer. Nashik and Shiv Sena share a soulful connection – unlike what Narendra Modi understands,” it stated.

Thackeray used the platform to clarify his ideological position. “I have severed ties with the BJP, not with Hindutva. Even in death, I will not abandon Hindutva,” he declared. He accused the BJP of distorting Hindutva and said the party’s version was “rotten and unacceptable.”

Attacking the BJP's political opportunism, Thackeray said, “Kamalabai is hypocritical. These are not people who value relationships. When no one knew the BJP, Shiv Sena supported them in Maharashtra. We nurtured them, but now the time has come to carry them on our shoulders—to their end.”

The AI voice of Balasaheb also made historical references, including ties with freedom fighter Veer Savarkar. “I worked here with Veer Savarkarji, and I had planned to eliminate Jackson,” the voice declared, invoking past struggles and linking them to the present-day political climate.
