"They think they can scare us..." : Mamata Banerjee vows to resist intimidation as she accuses BJP of allegedly misusing Central Agencies

West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress Supremo Mamata Banerjee lashed out at the BJP on Thursday, over the alleged misuse of central agencies in Opposition ruled states for "political vendetta". "Today they are in power, so they are using the central agencies to harass the Opposition leaders," said Mamata Banerjee.

"They think they can scare us and send us to jail. Even if they threaten me and put me behind bars, I promise I'll break all bars and You must remember that they are putting everyone behind the bars to win the elections," asserted the Trinamool Congress Supremo. Mamata Banerjee launched a veiled attack on the attack on the BJP for the arrest of the former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren without naming him. "They say that we are all thieves, do they think that they are all innocent? They are Lord of thieves.
Remember, we will triumph over Delhi, and Bengal will lead the way. We will fight alone and win," Banerjee added.

Addressing a political gathering in Krishnanagar, Mamata Banerjee reiterated her "fight solo" stance from Bengal, denouncing all possibilities of forging and alliance with Congress. "We wanted to forge an alliance with the Congress at the state level, but, Congress decided to form an alliance with CPIM in Bengal and help the BJP. I will not associate myself with CPIM, neither will I associate myself with the BJP," said the Trinamool Congress Supremo.

"They have expelled Mahua from the Parliament because she asked questions on behalf of the people. You can forcefully expel her, the vote of the people will bring her back in no time," asserted Banerjee, speaking on the expulsion of the Trinamool Congress Krishnanagar MP Mahua Moitra from the Parliament in December last year.

Although Mamata Banerjee shunned the plausibility of forging an alliance with Congress at a state level, however, she did keep the door open for a coalition in the aftermath of the all-important 2024 Lok Sabha elections. "They break places of worship, they torture the dalits, that's why we must unite as one. In Bengal, our party will defeat BJP, and we will triumph over Delhi. After the elections, all the regional parties will unite as one front," maintained Mamata Banerjee.
