Re-polling commenced at 11 polling stations in the inner-Manipur Parliamentary constituency on Monday following reports of violence during the initial polling day on April 19. The Election Commission ordered the re-polling after incidents of miscreants opening fire and damaging EVMs were reported at several polling booths in Manipur. Security measures have been heightened to prevent further violence during the re-polling process.

The affected polling stations include Moirangkampu Sajeb Upper Primary School, S. Ibobi Primary School (East Wing), amongst others. As per reports, the residents have expressed concerns over the incidents of violence and the impact on the electoral process.
