Commemorating the occasion of National Voters Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually addressed the “Nav Matdata Sammelan” on Thursday. Lakhs of first-time voters were assembled at over 5,000 “Nav Matdata Sammelan” centers across the country for PM Modi’s speech. The Prime Minister launched a scathing attack on the Opposition parties, especially the Congress, calling them “parivaarwadi parties” (nepotistic parties) that hinder the progress of the youth.

“The mindset of leaders of these parivaarwadi parties is anti-youth. You have to defeat these family parties with the strength of your votes," asserted PM Narendra Modi. Ahead of the all-important 2024 Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi underscored the importance of a government in full majority, stating that there is clarity in policies and decisions. “When there is a majority government in the country, there is clarity in policies and decisions. When I meet major world leaders, it is not I alone who meets them but 140 crore Indians are with me,” he added.

Narendra Modi further sharpened his attack on the Opposition and said, “Today, people talk about credibility, not corruption; success stories, not scams. Earlier India was on the list of fragile five economies. But today, Bharat is the fifth largest economy in the world. In the coming years, India will become the top three economies in the world.”

“I can see that a huge number of daughters are participating in this event. It is a pleasure to be among young voters on the occasion of National Voters Day. I extend my warm wishes to you all,” said the Prime Minister lauding the presence of young female voters in large numbers. He also went on to highlight a slew of women-centric policies undertaken and bills passed by the BJP regime. “You all have become an important part of the democratic system now as your names have been registered in the voter list at a time when the country is going through its ‘Amrit Kaal’,” he added.

The Prime Minister said that the youth of the country invigorates him and that first-time voters have an important role in determining the future of India. "You all have the responsibility of building a developed India by 2047. You all have a great opportunity to decide how you can get your names etched with golden letters in a developed India. Our speed, direction, and approach will be decided by you all and voting will be one big medium of it," asserted PM Narendra Modi.
