Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Chief, Farooq Abdullah on Saturday congratulated the workers involved in the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. In addition, Abdullah emphasized that the significance of Lord Ram transcends beyond religious confines, asserting that he is not exclusive to Hindus but is a universal figure for people worldwide.

"I also want to say to the whole nation that Lord Ram doesn't only belong to Hindus; he belongs to everyone in the world. He is the Lord for all the people across the world. It's written in the books,” said Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Chief Farooq Abdullah stating that Lord Ram is not just for the Hindus, but for all people across the world. "He has given a message of brotherhood, love, unity and helping each other. He has always said to uplift the fallen, irrespective of their religion or ethnicity. He has given a universal message. Today, as this temple is about to be inaugurated, I want to tell the people of the country to revive the brotherhood that is diminishing in our country. I want to tell everyone to maintain that brotherhood," he added.

The consecration ceremony, set for January 22, will witness the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla at the grand temple in Ayodhya. The event is anticipated to be attended by numerous dignitaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The trust has extended invitations to 4,000 saints from various sects to participate in the ceremony. Vedic rituals for the Pran-Pratishtha (consecration) of Ram Lalla are scheduled to commence on January 16, a week before the primary ceremony. The Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust has made arrangements to accommodate 10,000-15,000 people for the event.
