“Center wants to scare and silence…”: Atishi slams the Enforcement Directorate amidst raids, alleges evidence tampering in her "Explosive Exposé"

Delhi Minister and senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi on Tuesday alleged that the Centre was trying to “scare and silence” her party by conducting Enforcement Directorate raids on multiple AAP leaders in a bid to prevent her from revealing the "explosive exposé" on the ED that she had announced on Monday.

"As you all know, yesterday evening I tweeted that I am going to make a big revelation on ED. To stop this, the ED raid started at 7 am. AAP MP ND Gupta is being raided, and a raid is taking place at the house of the Chief Minister's PA. Today, raids will continue throughout the day, but the Aam Aadmi Party is not afraid," said Atishi addressing a press conference on Tuesday. The senior AAP leader had taken to “X” on Monday and announced that she would be doing an “explosive expose” on the Enforcement Directorate at 10 am on Tuesday.

Atishi alleged that Aam Aadmi Party leaders were being “threatened” by the Enforcement Directorate. "For the last two years, AAP leaders are being threatened. In the name of this so-called liquor scam, someone's house is raided, someone gets summons and someone is arrested. Even after hundreds of raids in two years, ED has not been able to recover even a single rupee. Even after two years, ED has not found any concrete evidence and the court has also repeatedly asked that evidence should be presented,” said the AAP leader.

"Some witnesses came forward and said that they testified under pressure. One witness said that he was threatened that if he did not testify against the Aam Aadmi Party leaders, they would take away his daughter. One of their wives was threatened with arrest," alleged Atishi. The senior AAP leader further accused the Enforcement Directorate of deleting an audio recording of CCTV footage linked to the case being investigated. "This entire case rests only on statements, and now it has also come to light that there is fraud in the testimony. To hide this fraud, ED is now deleting the audio recording of the CCTV footage. Two questions for ED: 1. What does ED want to hide? 2. How many statements have the ED taken, how many have been recorded on CCTV, and how many of them have audio?" she added.

“This shows that all the statements are fake. If the statements are not fake, then why do they delete it? Who is the ED trying to save by deleting the audio of the footage? I’m challenging the ED to keep all audio recordings of the footage of the investigation before the nation,” asserted Atishi.

The Enforcement Directorate on Tuesday conducted raids at the residence of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s secretary, along with the premises of other AAP leaders in connection with the alleged irregularities in the Delhi Jal Board case. As many as 12 locations across Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) were raided.
