In a startling revelation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi revealed BRS leader KC Rao wanted to join the National Democratic Alliance but he turned down the BRS Supremo’s request. PM Modi said this while he was addressing a public gathering in poll-bound Telangana’s Nizamabad, campaigning for BJP on Tuesday.

“When BJP won 48 seats in the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation election, KCR needed support. Before this election, he used to welcome me at the airport and bought me a pretty shawl, but all the pleasantries suddenly stopped. After the elections, KCR came to meet me in Delhi and said that he wanted to join NDA. He also asked me to extend support to him. I denied his request outright owing to his party’s dubious practices, Modi cannot be associated with him as Modi does not betray his people and that is Modi’s guarantee”, said PM Modi claiming that he and the BJP stand against the alleged corrupt practices of BRS.

Taking a jibe at Congress, the Prime Minister said that the people of the state must be cautious of the ‘big players’ who have been ‘denounced’ by the people of India. “The BRS and Congress have joined hands to loot the people of Telangana, both parties ruled by family dynasties who only care for their own family members and not the people of the state,” said Narendra Modi.

“The Congress is coming up with new ideas every day, now they are talking about jitni abadi, utna haq. Are you against the minorities? Are you against the people of South India?” said Modi hitting back at the Congress for their idea of a caste based census. “All of this is nothing but the Congress’s theatrics. I must inform the leaders of Congress that the people of Telangana will not be fooled by your antics,”he added.

Speaking about the Women’s Reservation Bill that is now a law waiting to be implemented, the Prime Minister said that the mothers and the sisters of Telangana have been a part of a great revolution that aims to empower thousands of women across the country. “The Congress and their Ghamandiya gatbandhan had stopped the bill for over 30 years, it was a show for them, but this time, they were forced to comply because of you, the collective power of the mothers and sisters of this country”, said the PM lauding the law that is aimed towards empowering the people of India.

The Prime Minister laid the foundation for several projects in the poll-bound state today, and stated that it is ‘Modi’s guarantee to empower the poor and employ the youth of Telangana.’
