Several hospitals in Delhi received bomb threats on Tuesday morning. Deepchand Bandhu Hospital, Dada Dev Hospital, Hedgewar Hospital, and Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital were among those receiving the threats. This comes in the wake of a series of hoax bomb threats received by schools and public institutions across the National capital and other major cities across the country.

The Delhi Fire Department stated that calls threatening explosives at Delhi State Cancer Institute, Dada Dev Hospital, Hedgewar Hospital, and Deep Chandra Bandhu Hospital were under investigation. The threats follow a pattern observed just two days earlier when Indira Gandhi International Airport and several government hospitals received similar threats via email.

Delhi Police reported that the airport received an email threat regarding an explosive device on May 12, followed by emails targeting Burari Government Hospital and Mangolpuri's Sanjay Gandhi Hospital. Authorities have launched investigations into these incidents.

The list of targeted hospitals includes Dada Dev Hospital, Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Hospital, Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital, Hindu Rao Hospital, and Aruna Asaf Ali Govt Hospital.

The recent surge in bomb hoaxes began with nearly 100 schools in Delhi and the National Capital Region receiving threatening emails on May 1, causing widespread panic. Similar incidents were reported in Ahmedabad and Jaipur, with emails originating from servers with Russian IP addresses. Despite extensive searches by bomb disposal squads, no suspicious materials have been found in connection with these threats. The Ministry of Home Affairs had labelled the emails as hoaxes.
