Prime Minister Narendra Modi lashed out at the incumbent Congress government in Rajasthan, alleging that the poll-bound state was propelled to the ‘number one’ position in cases of ‘riots, crime, corruption and paper leak.’ At a poll rally in Rajasthan’s Deogarh on Thursday, PM Modi assured that if the BJP came back to power in the desert state, Congress’s wrong-doings would be reversed, and Rajasthan would occupy the ‘number one’ rank in ‘tourism, investments, industries, and education.’ In addition, the PM stated that he is confident that ‘BJP is going to form the government in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.’

"Congress promoted Rajasthan to the number one position in riots, crime, corruption, and paper leaks during the five years of their rule… The BJP will promote Rajasthan to the number one position in tourism, investments, industries, and education...” said PM Modi.

Campaigning for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the poll-bound state the Prime Minister also alleged that the ruling Congress government after coming to power had stopped all welfare schemes rolled out by the BJP, thus, putting the people of Rajasthan at a disadvantageous position. "Five years ago, when Congress came to power, they stopped all our schemes...on December 3, when the BJP returns to power, we will take forward the schemes that will benefit the people of the state,” said Modi, confident of BJP’s win in the upcoming Assembly Elections.

"Our alliance is with the 'Janata Janardan,” said PM Modi on the very last day of campaigning in the desert state, taking a dig at the Opposition alliance INDIA. "BJP is going to form the government in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh", said the Prime Minister, exuding confidence over an anticipated victory in the aforementioned states.

After securing 99 seats, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot formed the government in 2018 with the support of the BSP MLAs and the independents. The Bharatiya Janata Party had bagged 73 seats.

Assembly Elections in Rajasthan are scheduled on November 25, with the results being tallied on December 3. Of the 200 seats, 199 will be contested, as the elections in Karanpur were adjourned following the demise of Congress’s Gurmeet Singh Koonar.
