“All is well…” Akhilesh Yadav keeps hope for ‘INDIA’ alive in Uttar Pradesh

Amidst speculations of all not being well between the Samajwadi Party and Congress, Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday expressed optimism over the INDIA alliance's seat sharing arrangement in Uttar Pradesh for the 80 Lok Sabha seats.

"All is well that ends well. Yes, there will be an alliance... there is no conflict. Everything will be out and clear soon," Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav told reporters wearing a smile on his face, contrary to the media reports that claimed that seat sharing talks between SP and Congress have hit a road block and that Yadav had refused to join Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ during its UP chapter unless the seat sharing talks were finalised.

There are also reports indicating that Jayant Chaudhary's Rashtriya Lok Dal in Uttar Pradesh may leave the INDIA bloc and follow the footsteps of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who had recently dumped the RJD-Congress alliance and went back into the folds of NDA.

While Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has so far maintained that Trinamool Congress will be going solo in Bengal, but hasn’t shut her doors on INDIA bloc, leaving the possibility of an alliance after the elections.

AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday met with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and confirmed that while AAP will go solo in Punjab, but in Delhi, AAP and Congress will go together as the INDIA alliance in the all the 7 seats, which are currently with the BJP.
