Prime Minister Narendra Modi sharpened his attack on the incumbent Congress Government in the poll-bound state of Rajasthan. Addressing an election rally in Bharatpur on Saturday, the PM Modi alleged that the Congress’s appeasement politics has propelled Rajasthan to the top in terms of ‘corruption, riots, and crimes.’ Promising a complete turnover when the BJP comes to power in the state, Narendra Modi said, “3 December, Congress 'chhoo mantar.”

"On the one hand, India is becoming a leader in the world. On the other hand, you all know what happened in Rajasthan in the last five years. Congress has made Rajasthan a leader in corruption, riots, and crimes. That's why Rajasthan is saying – Jadoogarji (Magician), you won't get any votes," said PM Modi taking a jibe at the sitting Chief Minister, Ashok Ghelot, the son of a professional magician, performed magic tricks across the country before he joined politics.

PM Modi brought Congress’s alleged policy of appeasement to the spot and said, “Wherever the Congress comes to power, terrorists, criminals, and rioters are let loose. Appeasement is everything for Congress. Congress can go to any extent for appeasement, even if it means putting the state at stake. The Prime Minister also alleged that over the last 5 years, under the Congress regime, the condition of the Dalits and women in the state has only deteriorated. “Be it Holi, Ram Navami, or Hanuman Jayanti, you people could not celebrate any festival peacefully. Riots, stone pelting, curfew, all this continued in Rajasthan," added Modi.

Stating that the Congress regime has lost the trust of the women in the state, PM Modi questioned the incumbent government’s decision of giving an election ticket to Shanti Dhariwal, who had passed derogatory comments against women, linking masculinity with the rise in rape cases in the state. The said minister had later apologized for his remarks, stating that it was a ‘slip of the tongue.’

Assembly Elections in Rajasthan are scheduled for November 25, and the results will be tallied on December 3.
