Reiterating his “400 paar” stance, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday slammed the Opposition INDIA alliance over the “Modi ka parivaar” fued while addressing a public gathering at Barasat in Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district. “The mothers and sisters of Bengal are members of Modi’s family,” asserted the Prime Minister.

Lashing out at the Opposition INDIA Alliance over Lalu Prasad Yadav’s “Modi ka Parivaar”(Modi’s family) jibe, the Prime Minister stated that the people of this coutry are members of Modi’s family. “Off late, the corrupt members of the INDI alliance are questioning about my family. They are saying that just because Modi does not have a family, he is being vocal about the cause of dynasty politics. They want to know about my family, they want to know where my family is. All I want to tell them is that the thousands of mothers and sisters of this country are members of Modi’s family. Common people from all across the length and breadth of this country are all members of Modi’s family. All the mothers and sisters of Bengal are a part of Modi’s family, and Modi’s life is dedicated towards serving the members of his big family,” said the Prime Minister.

Sharpening his attack on the INDIA Bloc, the Prime Minister added that the members of the INDIA alliance are hindering the Central government’s schemes directed towards the welfare and the empowerment of the women of this country. “We tried to implement several pro-women schemes in the country to ensure the welfare of the women of this country, but the people of the INDI alliance do not want to let us implement them. They have only hindered the implementation of the schemes that would benefit my mothers and sisters,” added the Prime Minister.

The whole “Modi ka parivaar” feud stems out of RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav’s attack on Narendra Modi stating that the PM does not have a family. “What is Modi? Modi speaks on dynasty politics and keeps counting how many leaders have their children in politics. What can we do if he does not have a family of his own? Where is his family?” questioned the senior RJD leader. In the political storm that ensued thereafter, several BJP leaders such as Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Smriti Irani edited their social media bio and wrote “Modi ka Parivaar” (Modi’s family) in solidarity with the Prime Minister. It wasn’t just limited to the profiles of BJP leaders, several “X” users followed suit and added “Modi ka paarivar” to their bio. PM Modi on several locations thereafter maintained that the people of this country are members of his family.
