Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee on Monday congratulated the newly sworn-in UDF government in Kerala, led by Chief Minister VD Satheesan, and wished the new administration success in serving the people of the state.
Taking to social media after the oath-taking ceremony, Banerjee wrote, “Congratulations to the UDF government led by Chief Minister @vdsatheesan on taking oath in Kerala today. Wishing the new government great success in their service to the people of Kerala.”
The message came shortly after VD Satheesan and his cabinet took oath in Kerala following the UDF’s victory in the Assembly elections.
Banerjee’s congratulatory post is being viewed as a significant political gesture from the TMC leadership towards the Congress-led alliance, amid continuing efforts by opposition parties to maintain coordination on national political issues.
The new Kerala government is expected to prioritise welfare measures, governance reforms and development initiatives in the state in the coming months.
