Shocking DGCA Findings in Ajit Pawar Accident; VSR Jets Taken Off the Skies

Twenty-six days after the plane crash involving Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, and amid continued questions raised by MLA and nephew Rohit Pawar, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) found instances of non-compliance by VSR Ventures Pvt Ltd and ordered four Learjet 40/45 aircraft to be grounded immediately.

In its statement, the DGCA stated that, “Following the Learjet 45 (VT-SSK) accident at Baramati on January 28, 2026, a Special Safety Audit of M/s VSR Ventures Pvt Ltd was conducted. The audit team observed several non-compliances in airworthiness, air safety, and flight operations.
Considering the maintenance gaps identified, Learjet 40/45 aircraft registered as VT-VRA, VT-VRS, VT-VRV, and VT-TRI have been immediately grounded until continued airworthiness standards are restored. The company has been asked to submit a root cause analysis for further assessment.”

Reacting to the report, Rohit Pawar shared a photograph of the DGCA findings on social media and alleged that VSR Ventures Pvt Ltd had failed to follow compliance norms. He stated that concerns regarding the company’s “arbitrary and unsafe flight operations” had been raised repeatedly. Pawar further claimed that the DGCA’s decision to ground four aircraft validated the issues highlighted earlier.

“While this marks progress in our fight, it is only the tip of the iceberg. Much more is yet to come out. I will speak in detail on this issue,” he wrote.

Over the past few days, Rohit Pawar has levelled serious allegations against VSR Ventures Pvt Ltd.
