As the investigation into the NESCO drugs party case in Goregaon East progresses, new revelations continue to emerge.
The Vanrai Police investigation has revealed that during the rave party held at NESCO on April 11, alcohol was served to several underage teenagers, and the alcohol was served to them by the concert organizers, which is strictly prohibited under the law.
Sources revealed that from the all eight accused 5 accused who are drug peddlers and they have a chain and they have delivered the drugs not only in the NESCO music concert but also most of the music concerts which took place in Mumbai.
However, the investigation also revealed that NESCO had all the required licenses to organize music concerts, using those events as a cover to host rave parties and serve alcohol to minors is a clear violation of the law.
According to the police, several music concerts have been held at NESCO in the past. A major reason for this was that the NESCO management not only earned crores in profit from each concert but could also conveniently organize rave parties under their cover.
Taking advantage of these concerts, NESCO allegedly collaborated with organizers to host rave parties repeatedly and earned huge profits from them.
On Friday, the police arrested absconding accused Shubh Agrawal (21) from Kalyan. He is believed to be a key link in the drug supply chain targeting student hostels and young people.
During the investigation, it was revealed that Shubh Agrawal, acting on the instructions of arrested accused and supplier Anand Patel, delivered a packed box containing MDMA (ecstasy) to Prateek Pandey at a hostel located on Charni Road.
After his arrest, Agrawal was produced before the Borivali Court. During the hearing, his lawyers, Surendra Landge and Azad Gupta, dismissed the police allegations as baseless. They argued that no drugs were recovered from their client and that he was being falsely implicated.
According to the defence, he merely delivered a sealed box at Patel’s request and was unaware of its contents. After hearing arguments from both sides, the court remanded the accused to police custody until April 20.
During police interrogation, Prateek Pandey revealed that he had received ecstasy pills from Anand Patel, and that these were delivered to him through Shubh Agrawal.
The investigation also found that Shubh Agrawal was present at the NESCO rave party on April 11, 2026. Police claim that technical evidence and location data confirm his presence at the venue, where he also met other accused individuals. The same party is believed to have been a hub for drug use and supply activity.
Police are now trying to determine from whom the accused obtained the drugs and to whom he distributed them. They are also investigating who provided him with the ticket to the NESCO concert, who accompanied him to the event, and whether he delivered drugs to others besides Prateek Pandey.
Additionally, police are conducting searches at the accused’s residence, examining financial transactions, and gathering information about the whereabouts of absconding suspects.
With the arrest of Shubh Agrawal, police hope to uncover the broader supply chain, financial links, and reach higher-level suppliers involved in the case.
In the case, one more accused is still on the run, and a search operation is underway to locate him. All seven accused will be produced before the court on Saturday for further remand.
