A 7 year old boy, his mother, and their relative, were killed in Imphal West on June 4, while the boy was being ferried to a hospital in an ambulance. He was hit by a bullet splinter at the Assam Rifles camp in Kangpokpi district. On their way to the hospital, a mob set their ambulance ablaze. All three were charred to death.
Joshua Hanshing, 55, could not see his son and wife for the last time. The bodies haven't been handed over to him in more than 3 weeks.
The bodies were taken to a hospital in Imphal, and the father cannot go there due to the ongoing tension. All he wants is to see his family, one last time.
