Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that 62 crore pilgrims have already visited the Triveni Sangam for a holy dip since the beginning of the Maha Kumbh. On Sunday alone, nearly 8.7 million (87 lakh) pilgrims took part in the ritual.
Security and crowd control measures have been heightened in areas such as the Ayodhya Dham railway station, which sees a large number of pilgrims. Additional security personnel, now numbering over 350, have been deployed to manage the crowd effectively. Barricades have been set up, and a designated holding area has been created for passengers awaiting trains.
