Clashes & Confrontation lasted till late on Thursday in Imphal

The violence that started on Thursday evening in Imphal, continued till post midnight. Protesters had challenged the forces after deaths were reported from Imphal West. Ugly confrontation and deafening sounds of explosion( what kind not known), broke the silence of the night. Screams of people, smoke of the tear gas and forces trying to control the situation - all underlined the turmoil that’s wreaked havoc in Manipur for close to two months now.
