At least 18 persons were injured after a reactor explosion occurred at a pharma company in Andhra Pradesh’s Anakapalle district on Wednesday. The explosion took place at the Achutapuram Special Economic Zone. The people injured have promptly been rushed to the hospital for further treatment.
The explosion took place at a pharma firm plant of the Escientia Company. The massive explosion took place during the lunch time which averted a major disaster. The visuals from the accident spot show deep smoke billowing from the huge factory reactors engulfing the surrounding areas and villages. The injured persons have been shifted to the NTR hospital for immediate medical attention.
The Superintendent of Police and District Collector are on their way to the accident site to look into the matter and the rescue and relief operations are already underway.
